Erin & Aaron - Married!

July 8th was a very important day for Erin & Aaron, as they were to be married at the Royal Hamilton Yacht Club, but it was also a big day for me, it was the very first wedding I ever photographed! When my aunt Katie, of Katie Dawson Photography asked me to second shoot this wedding with her I was so excited and so nervous at the same time! It wasn't even my wedding day and I had the wedding day jitters.
When we arrived at Erin's parents house the house was a sweep of excited girls, just putting the finishing touches on their hair and make up, and waiting for the big moment when Erin would put on her dress. Instantly my photography knowledge kicked into gear and I stopped worrying, allowing me to take some of my first ever pictures, and after that I was no longer nervous all day. The day flowed smoothly, and following a beautiful outdoor ceremony the party headed up to the reception in a lavishly decorated room within the Royal Hamilton Yacht Club. Starting first with the getting ready, here are some pictures of Erin & Aaron's big day.

The first stages of excitement setting in,

As her dad waited patiently to see his beautiful daughter dressed as a bride for the first time.

You could see his pride radiate on his face,

Even as he gave her hand to the man who would protect her for the rest of her life.

I just love the way Aaron looked at his bride when the rings had finally been exchanged.

This little one wasn't too interested in the proceedings, but rather clung to her mom and watched me intently.

And they walked the aisle for the first time,

Happily married.

In a show of fun personality, Erin's shoes had little skulls on them.

I am so appreciative to have been able to capture photographs of this fun loving couple, and an forever grateful for the experience. To see more pictures of Erin & Aaron head on over to Katie Dawson Photography to see pictures by Katie.

Myles- Day 17

After a couple days in the hospital Myles was finally able to come home, but due to conflicting schedules this was the first chance i got to see this little man and his crazy fun hair! Today I headed to my good neighbours to capture some pictures of her new little man, and though Myles wasn't too fond of these plans he stuck it out like a tough little guy and let us get some pictures of him. Though he didn't like to leave the loving arms of his mom and dad he co-operated and found himself a comfy spot in the stroller, and left us with some pictures that show the love between mom and dad, and parent and child.

He just has the biggest brown eyes, you could stare into them forever.

He really enjoyed looking at mommy and daddy to keep him happy

Once he decided I wasn't going to bother him he became a real camera flirt :)

And then it was time for a nap

Thank you so much for the experience and for sharing your precious little boy with me for the afternoon, I hope you enjoy! I'll be getting your cd to you soon!

Dan & Emily - Engaged

When my family and I headed out for a week of camping the last thing we imagined was an engagement. But as we have it, Dan & Emily came back from there hike on the Bon Echo "cliff top trail" there was something more shiny on Emily's finger then when she went up. Seeing the opportunity to not only photograph family, (Dan's my uncle and Emily my soon to be aunt), but friends I invited them to do an engagement session on the beach, featuring the cliff where it all took place. We first went to the no name beach, with the best view of the infamous Bon Echo cliff, before heading down to the narrows, and through the woods to the main beach. Here are some of the pictures we captured along our way.

Through out our day at the beach, where dan and emily were not present the kids decided to make a tribute to them, something personal they could enjoy, and this picture will be the first chance they get to see this creation. Hope you enjoy! Many thanks to Meghan, Jenna, Walker and any one else who participated!

And finally one to finish off the session as the sun went down.

Thanks for being so co-operative guys, hope you enjoy your pictures, i'll be getting your cd to you soon!
